Ronin Or Samurai,who Is Better?

my 2 best friends have been fighting over which is better for the past week.Ever since i finally got my Battle Realms working again i've also been wondering who is better but i can't accurately test it.So who do you guys think is better?

It depends on the situation, do you mean overall or in a duel?

In a duel, i'm not sure. But overall I think Samurai are better.

well,if it depended on the situation like if the samurai was on a hill or something then the samurai would probaly win due to samurai has a ranged attack and the ronin dosen't.so who would win in a duel?

If I had to choose i'd say Samurai would win in a duel. But I don't know for sure I still havn't tested it.

now lets talk with battle gear who would win if either of them had a battle gear

Samurai will win even if he will be stackable (only melee fight also).

Ronin with Yin Blade will win and survive Sepukku.

But there is one thing that i cant understand. Is the Yang Blade of Samurai only for draining Yangs? I heard from many people, that if you have more yangs, damage of the Samurai will be more while using yang blade. I tested this and it didnt work. Its equal if you have 1 yang or 3 or 7. Yang blade is a bug or so should be?

As far as I know Yang Blade doesn't become more powerful with more Yang, it's a bug I think. This is what the description says: Attacks generate Yang, with damage increasing as Yang does; continually drains stamina.

With Yin Blade the Ronin would win unfairly, because the Samurai's Yang blade doesn't inflict Magic damage as does Yin blade, and Dragon Skin has no effect in melee.

With BG: Ronin wins.

Without BG: Samurai wins.

I tested this once a long time ago, back when Battle Realms first came out.

Its a draw. Unless you consider a Ronin winning a fight with a Samurai only to die from sepukku otherwise.

Ronin are supposed to be support units. Of course they lose against samurai 1vs1. In unit vs. unit matches, it's not about strategy. Its about brute strength. Am I right or wrong guys?

Other than the Zen Masters...the Samurais are the best units.

I would say the honorfull samurai would win because he has a master he fight for but the Ronin is alone without a master. Of course the Ronin has got two Katanas but the Samurai is faster with his one Katana. When the Ronin would win he dies too because the spirit and power of the dragon who comes out of the dying samurai would took his last hitpoints.

Ronin of course in close range combat but he needs stamina, so you still can use samurai for ranged advantage.

they both are equal but if you have good micro then the person with better micro would win..
