Trolling can in some ways be analogous to teasing a girl. Its a way to make fun of her or toy with her in a light hearted way. It also shows that you are a chill guy and you don't take things too seriously.

Trolling a little is okay, trolling a lot can make you lose the set though. Sometimes I've been in troll mode at the club and the girl is loving it, loving it, and then suddenly she realizes that I'm never going to be real with her and every answer is a bullshit answer and they can end up leaving. So yes, its a balance. Not too much.
