Br2 Predictions

towers sucks..... they only r good in long games.... but then when u have a 3 vs 3 .......... 12 towers together is just a pain in the ass...... especially when one is lotus with like 5 dcs..... the other is dragon with 10 ids........ and the other is serpent with scope and smoke....... i just gave up in that game

On the contrary D, a tower can help counter the opponent's rush and help weaken them to defeat them.

depends on how fast you can chuck out a good defensive unit.

with everyone on high settings it can really depend. and some clans like lets say dragon dont really bode well because of its buildings being more costly.

Towers have always annoyed me. The most important changes the game needs is maps where you have to fight over resources and to decrease the amount of possible defensive structures. I have always hated towers.

towers can be annoyed but at the same time they can be a great help in rush games :) . and also in long games...

baxter yeah i there is a limit for peasent hunts i did that too long ago. :whistling:

Each tower also has its own unique ability and can be used to it's advantage

Lotus tower- good at taking out 1st tier units

Wolf tower- good at slowing down the enemies and giving you time to put a head start on damage on your enemy

Dragon tower- stuns the units and gives you time also like the wolf tower, also if dc is close enough it will be disabled and maybe give you enough time to destroy it

Serpent tower- has the same ability as smoke bombs but much less abusive, also it dismounts all riders on horses

i was playing a rush game, and the 2 idiots i was playing against decided the first thing they would build is a lotus tower on my resource patch. i looked on in stark horror as my peasants recieved a shitload of lightening.

Possibly, BR2 could be a sequel to when after Kenji rebuilds the Dragon Clan. What could happen is he plans to use the Orb and his armies to take back their ancestral lands from the Horde!!!! That would be SO awesome.

Or, if you're a Serpent player, the Serpent clan under Kenji could conquer the old lands using a mixture of gunpowder and cannon, as those are weapons that might wreak havoc on the Horde.

Also, have the Horde as a new Clan.

Hmm I'd say the game will definately have much better gfaphics and maybe even more influence in/through nature like crouching in high grass/burning it, thats no new idea, but its not in BR as well :P

maybe it'd be possible if units can swim (boats without small ones would be useless, for I think they'll stick with the idea as small clans (and they'll do good by sticking with it) fighting each other, so they can put many things in each unit, Liquid is a great company so I think, well I'm almost sure they gonna put many stuff in every single unit just like "Every warrior has a name - and they'll all die for you" that describes best what puts the thingy in BR that keeps ppl still playin although bad multyplayer and other stuff, but they'll still keep it simple. I like for instance that you see a Kabuki playing with magical balls so they peasents become faster, when I was new to this game I thought looks cool, later on I realized it changes something...so there is no "Make peasents faster" button like in WC3 where you have to click on each spell to activate it, the units do it by themselves, because they are warriors, not puppets. what I also like is you have to get to know how much damage each units deals by playing the game, not like in wc3 where you see "slash damage: 19-22" "armour:heavy armor, 10-12"

that makes the game to a pure math calculation, in Br you have to get a feeling for your units, you have to get to know them...

So I hope they'll make combat more complex through more terrain influence and more passive stuff for the units, like in BR when several different hits of a melee guy deal different amount of damage

hmm I've read in a post they shall add walls...I think that won't fit in this game, for japanese villages have always been without walls..but in big cities it would be great to have walls (maybe a playable siege system with defense/assault with special siege weapons and abilities or in campaign - Serpentholme! I was kind of disappointed when I first saw Serpentholm and realised I couldn't put my guys on its walls..)

hmm as far for the story I'd be for what happens after kenji? although hes one with the dragon he is a human and so he is as mortal as a peasent (what I also like in BR...contrary to WC3 heros have weaknesses and so e.g. Shinja dies against a Dragonwarrior with fireblade as fast as an average unit...what is realistic) so his son gets in trouble...or there is no hire to the throne...or there is a new clan willing to consume the dragon clan..or both...but Id be happy if thered be more than just 4 clans, would make the game far more fun..if any of you Liquid guys read this, work as youve never worked on a game for you have to top a game that is greater than any other rts ive ever played..including new games like bfme2...

so I guess I've written enough in here for the next few months.

i laughed all day reading the introduced ideas for br expansion. walls? swiming?......etc? The game can have all of these but guess what: you will be playing at a very slow rate like you have not eaten for ages. And i know that you don't have 100 fingers to control the game. What the game needs is a new variety of skills distributed equally to each clan's units. Put the orb into play giving it to serpent but limit its power(or it will destroy everything), change type of damage of dragon spirit to the only type that reduces resistances to 0 and it will work through dc. Enhance Wolf with a new fusion hereo just like necro or something like that,......... I lost my revision sheet which i written down my ideas of how br can be expanded. Oh and towers are great.

thats the point, after kenji conquerored the old serpent realm but made it to the dragon realm the serpent clan died with shinja and the lotus was defeated in a great battle (aww the campaign is awesome) only a bunch of wolf warriors survived as zymeths army overwhelmed the home of the wolves so, no serpent and no lotus...but theyd come up with a story like "some of the lotus guys could flee and look the serpents survived too" but that wouldn't be a good idea for a br 2 imo

as for the skills: the skill system in br is one of the easiest ive ever seen, especially compared to wc3 whereas good players play with keyboard only to be able to use the skills of each unit (from about 2-6 skills per unit) and it is possible

hmm well i thought swimming would be at least somethin new, but many new ideas are mostly crap

Its not that easy to get rid of a whole clan... some of the people from lotus or serpent might of 'been away on a vacation... in some far far away land or on some trade mission. You can't kill a whole clan so easily ;).

but thats what happened , completely destroyed, everyone who belonged to serp/lotus was slayn, but well they could do something, e.g. there will always be robbers and bandits...a poor thief clan but well... serpent clan was never much more :P

and yeah why not zymeths lil brother was on vacation on horror island and returns now with some new creatures he calls now friends ^^

There was in Kenji's Journey a cinematic it showed Kenji and the fat monk Kazan they stood on a hill and saw a druidess and a Berzerk, heavily wounded fleeing from their home. Only these 2 units were seen. There must be more survivers to keep a realistic chance for the clan to survive but we do not know for we aren't the Gods of this world...Liquid are

I think it's best to stay away from the Serpent and Dragon paths, and focus on a Lotus campaign, since they didn't have any.

hmm that would be a possibility, for there are many untold things about the lotus past...

but id stick with the dragon, although it has a happy end id like to hear the tale what happened when kenji fell

I like the way battle net. does than gamespy, because the server is fast and no lag. But I still like the gamespy beacause it is free.. You don't need a cd key to play online... Unlike Battle Net.

battle net would be perfect but since it is only for blizzard games...we can only hope liquid gonna do sthg about the multyplayer

We could make a mod in the meantime.

About BR2, long ago I've been thinking/formulating new units. That was a long time, but I have the Lotus campaign thought out in my head (more or less).

1. New clan ofcourse! Horde is definitely not a candidate, but perhaps a clan associated with it (and have a throne of Nightvol of something hehe).

2. New female units?

3. The war has ended but as long as the clans remain, conflict will always be near.

4. Lotus Campaign!
