Nope. You only lose those 5 points for each building built if you destroy it yourself or if at the end of the round the building is still up. As long as the enemy destroys your building,you get 5 points for each.

It would be nice to have stats for the last month, year, two years, etc. That way the old people would still get theirs and the new people theirs.

In my honest opinion, I think we should do like a seasonal reset thing.

Kind of like if you think of it in like sports.

You have your season, then once it's over your stats reset and you start again. idk.

Like in the League of Legends seasons.

Well what we can do going forward is keep kills, deaths and assists. But reset all the other stats and points.

So your kill counts could stay the same across resets.

Thanks to the Lotus admins for reaching out to me. I do remember checking GameMe stats occasionally and seeing certain sessions that I played on Lotus servers not being recorded. I agree that resetting the stats will motivate more people to play more often and that's what we should all want - more people to play with (I hate seeing empty Lotus servers). Either way I think we should reset the stats if it means more accurate recording with GameMe and giving everyone a chance to start fresh. I also like the idea of resetting the stats regularly to give newcomers the opportunity to climb the ranking. I suppose it would be nice to have some type of cumulative stats page so that the hours everyone has put in will still be recognized. After all, I blind Demo spammed a lot of people over the past couple years =)

Thanks for this thread and this decision to reset the stats! I remember my ranking on the servers I normally played on was always somewhere in the top 100. Then something broke recently, and I've kind of just been stuck at 194. (Used to be exactly 205 for 3 months before stats were fixed.)

If there's a way to implement cumulative stats / previous rankings in some fashion, that would be great. I know some people actually care a lot about ranking and want it to be acknowledged in some form.

Depending on the database size, perhaps the entire stats website could be archived by year.

But for now let's just see how this goes first. If it's a success then we can see what the majority wants.
