koKo_ 350 #1 Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) So, from April 16th-April 24th (Spring Vacation for Muricans) I'll be touring England with my school band. (I expect all of you to be at the airport waiting to shower me with gifts kappa :3) We'll be visiting Bristol, the Stratford Area, and London. Ipswich High School band will be performing at Saint Swithun's Church at 7:30 PM on April 18 in Bristol and St Paul's Church Ealing at 6:30 PM in London. If you are all not there I will be much disappoint. Edit: the orchestra and chorus will be performing too, but who cares about them Edited March 25, 2015 by koKoRoro

Domino 3,168 #11 Posted March 26, 2015 Currently it's about 53 degrees F daily, in summer it hits 90+
Cola Kid 230 #12 Posted March 26, 2015 Ignore Domino London is only warm because cities in general absorb heat. Kerberos is right you need the gasmask there and if you in tend on traveling get an oyster card. Bring a coat that's warm and waterproof. the UK is an island and it fucking rains.. and then rains some more. If your going to Stratford try not to look like one of those yank tourists who take photos of anything Shakespeare. Apart from that. Have a Full English breakfast as you wont get it anywhere else in the world. and try HP sauce.

I can only assume you've never been due to the fact you're incorrect - I grew up on the south coast - which is arguably the cleanest area of the UK pollution wise, and now live in London, it's perfectly fine. London hits around 90 degrees F in summer the same as the south coast does due to us having better weather down in this area. Currently sitting at a nice 53 degrees most of this week, and it's only rained twice in the last few days. Regardless, there's a ton of stuff to do in london even if it does rain. The transport system is awesome, and very easy to navigate, and you won't require an oyster card if you have a contactless payment card.

BloodRedWidow 3,508 #15 Posted March 26, 2015 A city is a city IMO. All too warm, all stink, all full of people who walk too slow and don't pay attention to where they are going. Did I mention they stink? XD LOL Alex! But you forgot the pubs at every other door and chippies at every other door

At what point did I say it wasn't nice?? You've lived in London how long exactly? I can only assume you've never been due to the fact you're incorrect. No I don't want to along with a lot of others. doesn't mean I have never been there. First time I went you weren't even fucking born. I grew up on the south coast - which is arguably the cleanest area of the UK pollution wise, and now live in London, it's perfectly fine. No it isn't. Disagree all you want but take it up with the government and the MET office first. http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2014/apr/10/kesington-chelsea-most-polluted-air-uk-public-health-england-report London hits around 90 degrees F in summer the same as the south coast does due to us having better weather down in this area. CITIES ARE WARMER!!! He isn't coming in the summer unless April is a summer month all of a sudden and the south of England is warmer in general as its further south. If he was spending his whole trip in London then yeh maybe he probably wouldn't need the same cold weather gear but he will be other places. Yup London has a lot of stuff to do in the rain. Great Museums and all free! The transport system is awesome, and very easy to navigate, and you won't require an oyster card if you have a contactless payment card. The transport system is ok. Not Awesome. You want an awesome transport system go look at somewhere like Austria, Germany or Japan perhaps. You ever consider his bank might not provide a contactless card system yet? What about the fact that he will need to pay a fee for using his card in another country?

Emma 1,798 #22 Posted March 26, 2015 I agree with Kate, London is generally clean as fuck, yes there are places that are literal bins but mostly it's beautiful. AND it doesn't even rain that much!
