How To Make Range Unit Attace Close ?(advise)

is it any key to press how to make range units attacke close

for example if i make musk vs can can would win in range attacke but in close attacke musk will win

but how i trace it and attacke by musk only close combat ?? whithout loosing the trial??..couz a can can run from that easly but to trace it it's the hard work

ok, i bet most of you have seen other players do it, mostly it is me smurfing them. I often musk rush and my enemy makes cannosn to counter, but they see me using musks in melee combat. ok here is how i do it: select your musks and rightclick near cannons to run to, followed quickly by pressing shift ctrl. Once you get there, you can press N. The result is that any of your musks that are within melee range will engage in melee that does blunt damage while the other musks that are out of relee range will shoot. Then you can continue to select your musks out of melee range and run close to cannons to do melee again. Sounds easy, but not as easy to do it.

Wow, good advice. This serpent rush thing is getting on my nerves. I think now I need to learn it too. It has become a very popular strategy. I still find it very difficult to counter serpent rush. (of course im not a very good player, still learning)

How?

I used to always run the unit next to the enemy and get the mouse arrow to turn to the melee icon before ordering an attack. Not good in the middle of a battle.

Very easy....and there's something to do with having your musk neutral..but of course this only work on 1 or 2 army as it is hard to micro for 3 or more....I say Ru thats why there's a reaon why they were built as range attack.. Dont tell me your DREAM is to see Arah and Longtooth fighting in Melle combatt..

i didn't understand a thing i saw people runing whith musk close in LARAG GROUPS AND KILLING MY HURLERS like i was switching places but still they run after me, 4 musk on 1 hurler i go right they got trace on me no metter how i move they still attacke close !! and i saw it so how to do it !!!!!!!!!? where is that player that i fought he saied stupied things like : "poiol , wtf is poiol ?

Simple excample of balance: Cannoneer > Musketeer, Musketeer > Ronin, Ronin > Cannoneer. I mean now only damage resistance, not that the unit has more health or something else. If you have a good micro you can turn Cannoneer < Musketeer in melee battle. But that should be really hard to do! Because if musk could easy kill canno and ronin, he would be overpovered. Nobody would make cannons. All players would make only muscks. WTF you need that???

I see the AI`s attack with ranged units my ranged units, Oo. (ofcorse the ai`s ranged are were better in melee then mine) So its not impossible! You just follow the unit you want to attack with melee and when he is close enough press S or something and let them fight. I suggest you to make a skirmish game with the most stupid AI (Gaihla or Otomo) and train this drill. BTW what is micro? When you sayd supermicro what do you mean?

to understand what we talk about here you really need to try to play online and micro means maually control of you'r army during the fight you don't throw you'r army and w8 until it will kill all people you control them ! during you play

:angry: wtf you say about smoke? there is much thing's you can use to win. We all know that you are not noob. I give you example to understand what balance is and you tell me about tactic.
