Online Problems? Try Playing Battle Realms Online On Gameranger

Hi all, just thought I'd let you know about a new multiplayer network I've created for playing Battle Realms (and Winter of the Wolf) online called GameRanger.

Basically, GameRanger makes it quick and easy to play your friends online.

It has full lobby support for over 500 different games and demos (including Battle Realms, of course), without the hassles and headaches that usually happen with network connections (eg. routers & firewalls).

I'm really excited to be releasing it, and hope it helps boost the Battle Realms community by allowing people to play that were unable to until now due to problems with opening ports, etc.

As you can see from this forum, it has affected quite a few people.

What do you think about GameRanger? As far as I'm concerned I didn't see any server. Someone play in BR & uses this?

What can I say? It 500% batter as gayspy lobby!!! People, you have to try it!

So, i did test it with Manowar. He does not block, and I don't know about synq error. We need just make more tests!

Small howto:

1) Follow the link www.GameRanger.com, download the tool and register.

2*) Run the tool AS ADMINISTRATOR (select the tool with right mouse button/run as administrator)

3) Make or join the host

4) Do not start BR, it start's automatically

5) If you are creator, wait for players and just press start (you will see it on the right)

5.5) Do not press ALT+TAB (now you sure press it, but anyway )

6) ENJOY!!!! :wub:

GameRanger has been updated. It no longer quits the game automatically if you alt-tab back to GameRanger.

Playing via gameranger is easy.. No blockers, no lags. But no1 use it. Batter stack in gamespy lobby one or two hours and lagg and laggggggg. "wanna play 4vs4?? - No, we crash!!111"... lol

Do you NEED to run the program as admin in order to play BR on it?

GameRanger seems to be working but I don't see a battlerealms lobby on there

Tokyo, to see battle realms in gameranger, someone have to host a game. Host yourself and you will see a line "battle realms".
