I'm trying to get a collection of ideas for the possibility of a Battle Realms Two, if Ed Del Castillo ever returns to this website, maybe we can have an archive of ideas that players have submitted for him.

Post you're ideas, and i will put them here in a list for easy access to anyone that may want them ;).

Please state clearly whether or not you want me to add an idea it to this list.

Ideas:

#1 Transport Boats, Fishing Boats.. (Fish Could Be An Alternative To Rice)

#2 New Clans/Enhancements Of The Current Ones. (Ideas Needed)

#3 Simple walls/pallisades could be made from trees instead of using your rice and water supplys..

#4 Different Languages For Unit Voices.

#5 Basic Aircraft. Not recieving much approval here Ben!

#6 More Usable Creatures, Scorpions, Eagles, Ponies, Dogs, Tigers Etc.

#7 Clans, A Good One And An Evil One. Perhaps A Scorpion Clan And Amphibian Clan.

#8 New Battle Gears And Better Microable Commands.

#9 A Key CD In Order To Ban Noobs Of GameSpy

#10 I can't really think of a whole new clan with foundations of it's own to fit with all of them, but, maybe you can consider sister clans?

Like the Wolf's clan having Bear clan as it's sister clan and Dragon having the Tiger clan as it's sister clan.

#11 I think the game should have different structure enhancements, to differ strategy. What I am saying is, you can only build wells in select places; you can build turrets to shoot arrows from on your keep, you can drop rice and water off at Keeps/Town Squares, but can't create peasants there etc.

#12 How About More Asian Warriors As It Is An Asian Game.

#13 My Propose is to intoduce more new units and heroes to each clan. We need no new BG buildings. Make dragon spirit do all type of damage that way it is stronger. And make it work through dc, also make flash work through dc, it does not necessarily stop dc but it stunds other units. this way dragon has better chance of winning against lotus. Give dragon a spear master as a hero that has stun BG and whirl innate abilitiy. Of course this spear master has longer spear and does more damage. Give Serpent the orb that does more damage than spirit but the orb will destroy the serpnt itself more severly or something like that. Give kenji to both Dragon and Serpent. Give white wolf skull to wolf and give lotus the sacred garden planted with lotus trees. this garden can fuse some sort of units to make a new unit that is powerful and can bless BG to other units.

#14 Get a patch for all languages

#15 Change the interface of the internet games, changing to an ability to change br ports of each computer, instant map downloads, easy to play 8 players and a program to record all the game in all perspectives.

When an unit does not have battle gear and he kill two or more enemy units he must be granted with a new tipe of battle gear , by experience fighting.

When you customice your user, a option when you can customize the defaults movements of each units of each clan, agressive, passive, etc.

replace teppo in wotw to kenji in dragon clan and taro to kenji's father.

Make new history mode in which the games are missions, sometimes with time, or with limited rice and water to make the player use the mind studing the enemy and learn the use of each abbility and to salve his units , defend his base, etc.

#16 adding on to the fishing idea, how about a shark clan or a raven clan

#17 wut about sum rabbit clan? the clan-leader would be able to use sum eastern-bg and the units would attack with eggs n upgraded units could jump higher and farer than any other rabbit

#18 only the serpent clan makes its buildigns really fast and is perfect for rush...compare to all other 3 clans, which is just sad.

for example, u take lotus n u want to do rush with it...by the time u make one building of lotus ..serpent gets one army unit ready by then...am sure most of u know this...cus das the only resaon mostly people use serpent for rush..cus it has advantage.

same with wolf n dragon...gosh! they also take time. so may be they can change that as well in new version.

#19 hhmm eagles maybe they should make a new hero with an eagle as a pet who sends him off to scout just like that 1 guy in king arthur

#20 i say... maybe they should give each hero a Box with 6 slots in it so he can change hes weapons and maybe put some special armor on him or spell and give him lvl and when he kill he gain Exp and he lvls.

#21 I have alot of ideas: one idea is putting a new clan that is better than the rest, they enter from the other world and try to conquer the battlerealms world, in the other side the others clan make an alliance, the wolf with the dragon and the serpent with the lotus to fight against the invasor and conquer the realms, this new clan is better than all the rest, that the reason you can play at time with an alliance of the others two new clans dragon+wolf and serpent+lotus, in multiplayer is the same, i have too the ideas of the warriors of that new clan have and the new warriors of the allied teams, but that too big to explain.

#22 Maybe a new clan can have a medival Europe look.... They have mounted knights and fight by Pike and Shot.... Teir 3 units automatically come with horses and if those horses die and you have to return to the stables to buy a horse instead of having to collect them.

Teir 0

Peasant Hut

Produces peasants, but they would be called serfs since it is Medieval Europe...

Town Watch

Produces militia, which is a basic combat unit armed with a club.

Bowyer

Produces arbalesters, who are basically crossbowmen with a slow reloading attack like the Archers of the dragon clan.

Armory

Creates armored units who can withstand damage to get close to buildings and ruin them. Produces axemen, who are excellent in chopping apart the wood or stone that makes up most buildings.

#23 Ninjas aswell as being able to see enemy battlegears, could check rice, water, population, and Yin Yang levels too.

#24 (Continued from 22) This clan does not use Yin or Yang points, but instead has "faith" points since they are a medieval-esque style.

Town watch + Bowyer = Tomahawk Thrower, an infantry unit with medium armor carrying 2 throwing axes in both hands and able to throw them or use both in combat effectively. Innate ability is armor busting since axes are known to pierce armor and the higher tier the enemy the more damage he will do.

Town watch + Armory = Crusader, a heavy infantry with shield and sword, spear, or mace. Deals different types of damage depending on target and innate ability includes blocking with shield.

Bowyer + Armory = Grenadier, a raider-like infantry with some more armor and grenades, which combine the range of torches with the power of pitch slingers. Grenades may not explode on impact and they might explode a few seconds after hitting the target, giving time for the enemy to escape. He will suffer slight blunt damage since the grenade hits him like a rock. Innate ability: Grenade cooking works only when the grenadier is standing still and that you select him. He will pull out a grenade and as a idle animation will pull the pin and hold it in his hand. Any enemy that approaches will be hit by a grenade with a 100% chance of exploding.

This clan doesn't have a basic battlegear building, but instead they have a building that is combined with the stables. The peasants do not need to collect horses, but you can equip any unit above teir 1 with a horse for a price. This can be considered their standard battlegear building.

Advanced battlegear such as thief guild comes from a building called the Arcane tower. The battlegear will be in next post.

The healer unit would come from some monastery-type building. A peasant goes in, out comes a priest. Not sure if there will be females in the clan, but did women have a combat role in the Medieval era? Instead of a town square, they would have a Church that can be upgraded to a Cathedral. The priest can enter, and come out as an Inquisitor, which is a unit who uses magic attacks with damage based on the amount of faithpoints that you have. As for what happens when a peasant goes in....he comes out as am exorcist....who is a Van Helsing-like unit who blesses other units near him to do more damage against enemies while using all these silver demon killing weapons such as stakes and hammers....He does

#25 To have specialised "spy units" with a large range of sight.

#26 Maybe Ninja Backstabb? The hit that he can use if he is invisible and when he is on his enemy's back, or when the enemy is fighting with someone else. Then the enemy will get 5x normal damage. And it will be a special ability of Ninja (he hasn't got any specials yet).

#27 I think the clans are fine as they are... altough a European "invasion" would be nice done correctly... But I think someone else's earlier idea sucked... It sounds too "alien" for BR... and combining an arrow launcher with armor making a grenade trower is really strange... Instead, let's make it more like medieval Japan How about this:

Halberdier - Armory

Artisan - Artisans guild

Insert low defense high attack unit here - Insert building name here

Artisans can build cannons and/or small catapults and man them. Maybe replace them with demolition experts or something which can build bombs/use a BG which deploys bombs. Maybe siege engines would detract too much from BR tough... Medieval Japan didn't have them either due to the terrain.

Halberdier + Artisan = Maybe make a unit called saboteurs which make hand to hand explosive damage

Third unit + Halberdier = Knight or feudal lord. Bonuses while on horse, maybe make these the Tier 3 unit and create another one for this...

Artisan + Third unit = Bayonet riflemen... Even tough it's a bit too modern perhaps... How about Arquebusiers? My idea here is to have a gunpowder unit which can hold out in close combat, kinda like cannoners.

Tier 3: Crusader. Amazing health, his 2 handed sword demolishes almost anything

Healer: Priest

How about a merchant hero or something? Make some strange bonus... Like remove rice from other players at some of your own cost... Make him come with a bodyguard or two which are only slightly better than peasants and respawn from the keep after a while...

There's balance issues on my idea, of course... Like no ranged T1 unit... But I still think Europeans would "ruin" Br...

Problem is, we've got everything on BR... Magic wielders, evil guys, good guys, tradition and honor clan, good but brutish clan, underground dwellers (kinda, but no point in making a new faction and saying they came from some mines when they'd be like the wolf...), a practical clan (serpent), the desperate survivors of some old society which became corrupt, a nature side, a side with animals, a side which doesn't use horses... What else can we have with so much identity as these?

Turtle Clan? Neutral guys which lived on an island and minded their own business the whole time until the horde forced them out? How to make them truly unique, tough?

Maelstrom: If you want the same clans in BR2 then it's going to be hard to think of new ones to add and still have the game come off as clean and cut. The reason for this is because each clan almost has their own world so there's reason, laws, and limits to their abilities.

Wolf were the peaceful, natural, and land loving clan.

Lotus represented honing of a darker nature, abiding to it's will and corruption.

Serpent/Dragon were both more along the lines of tradition, prosperity, and maintaing or attaining power, the more civil driven aspects of humanity.

Walls don't have to be necessarily strong.

Since they would either be made to be the size of a person mostly out of tree-branches or nearing two stories high made out of tree-trunks.

The former being more suitable for BR's Skirmish style of 'course since it takes alot of resources and time to cut down and transport the latter's massive trees.

So, these small walls would never be really effective against an enemies oncoming slaughter, however walls are very important for keeping away other living, breathing things; such as wolves, bears, and large cats like tigers.

Cptheslayer: For my idea, we need no new clan, but a new clan would be nice for us to try. We need no walls and other craps cuz we don;t want too many things going on in the game and the game will just crash. It is ezier to balance all clans with few things. Absolutely no aricrafts or boats.

DeathWalkingTerror: You've all got some good "creative juices flowing" on here, but remember not to take it into other game ideas, because you may think it's individual and inventive, but maybe a past-time from another game... personally i can't think of any ideas at the moment

BEAST-RED: i wud like new version to be 100% cheat free.. that wud be fair on all other good players.

][-AN-][-Ragereaver: Games with airplanes, ships, more than 2 types of ressources suck, so just don't add that

Horse clan would be cool, their leader would be P-A.

I say more pets, like wolves and horses...

scorpions, eagles, ponies, dogs, tigers etc.

and the walls should be made weak against explosive just like the towers...

few clans, a good one and an evil one. Perhaps a scorpion clan and amphibian clan.

New battle gears and better microable commands...

But then again we are digressing from the true gaming experience of Battle Realms and making it more of a warcraft/aoe type of game....I doubt Ed wants this much change....

I personally think he should go to the extremes to make BR2 even better than BR.

i agree with a few things you guys posted like wolfbite said more pets will be sweet and with baxter about fishing, but i dont agree that br2 should have boeats and flying stuff that will ruin the game...AND ALSO DEFENSIVE WALLS SOME HOW I THINK IS NOT THE BR STYLE ALSO.

MORE BATTLE GEARS will be good.

A FEW MORE NEW HEROES AND WARRIOR FOR EVERY CLAN

2 MORE NEW CLANS

I think boats and flying units may detract the feel of it somewhat. How about be able to walk over all terrain and elevation angles.

Dragon Has their Dragon Spirit Serpent has Necro....

SO whaaat Lotus has or Wolf huh ?????

They dont have any Special things like Necro or Dragon spirit Just Stupid Grayback and Zymeth

Well Master warlock is not so speciall....... hes just too big

And about wolf.... Think that u have a game 1v1 and ur wolf and the other 1 os dragon u make armys and shit and then when u get to fight with all of hes army he Drops hes dragon spirit on u...... so..... its kind a unfair...... Ofcurse wolf has the best defense in the game but still Berserkers Losing half of the life and Ballistas losing 80% and the rest just dying, Grayback should have a Mighty Skill and not that stupid skill same as Otomo's But on Otomo its good cuz hes a weak unit...

Wolf has zen counter punch and shale armored zerks.

Both can take withstand a spirit and a necro.

i disagree about the walls thing remember its BATTLE REALMS not age of empires so if ed del castillo ever does make a br2 they are not going to want 2 change the whole game and turn it into a game that has already been made.....

The new clans and new heroes idea is good and also i think maybe more buildings eg for dragon and serpent another building that can give BG to units, wolf another unit which can give BG not only the druids (u know what i mean multiple choices for BG like drag and serp not only 1 type) and lotus more brothers maybe would be cool like 1 or 2 new brothers for lotus to get new BG from that would also be cool....

I think That everyclan Without all the Spirits and magics, Needs to have Her leader But hes gotta be Strong like very strong not like Grayback and Zymeth,

Grayback can barely kill samurai and Zymeth is so slow slower than a turtle

Being able to make walls and airships/ships is not a good idea. To expand on the walls idea, it would basically reduce the gaming experience. Battle Realms was made with agressive play specifically in mind. This is why turtling is usually not a good idea in a 'serious' game, if you get what I mean. Those that are more agressive tend to get the upper hand, and Ying/Yang is a perfect 'reward' for this, as it can only be gotten by fighting. Allowing walls to come in would reduce the original idea of Battle Realms.

The same thing applies with ships and airplanes. Its more like Age of Empires than Battle Realms. It doesn't fit in with the theme. Also, there isn't enough water maps, kinda restricting the mobiltiy of land units. I can't imagine primitive peasants loading onto the new Jetliner, or even the friggin Wright brothers plane for that matter.

Also, having more than four clans would be a pretty bad idea in my opinion anyway. Id much prefer the game concentrate on builing the story with the original four clans, and put a few more units into each clan.

I will put my two cents into the thing, why don't they let us change allies/enemies with the other players in multiplayer? That would totally influence strategy... Like the Bandit says, never turn your back on a fallen foe...

Talush! :o Wolf and Lotus have an alternative to Dragon Spirits and Necromancers. WereWolves and Master Warlocks are good enough alternative in my opinion ;).

Hey guys don't get so emotional about it, they are only IDEAS OK! :P

Perhaps just simple fishing craft as an alternative to rice. Wouldn't do any harm would it? Remember large areas of water never get used at the moment, in fact they remain in the Fog Of War unless it is shallow enough to walk in.

The walls could be just like simple pallisades or spikes, not much more use than using a line of Wells or Peasant huts as a wall. (They would be weak VS Fire and Explosive) ;)

I was thinking of this mainly becuase there is already quite a few SIEGE type units in the game, all these are good for sieging, Pitch Slingers, Sledgers, Ballistas with the Long Range, Raiders, Archers with Fire Arrows, Keg Cannoneers(ID), Serpent Cannoneers, Master Warlock's Soul Thresher, Warlock's Dark Arson.. Just a few simple wooden pallisades wouldn't do much more than make it a bit more interesting shreading someone's base! :D

I don't think they should have walls either. It would make the game into a more turtle type of play. Lots of defense and not much offense. Use the pitch slingers mines and the serpent cannoneers mines and the raiders caltrops as walls.

They have towers already that are just as good as having walls.

They would be easy to destroy, and expensive to discourage massing them, i don't think it would be a bad idea, but it's open to all opinions, improvement of the original idea, and constructive criticism.. ;)
