hyperknuckles77 2 #1 Posted April 30, 2009 I was randomly wondering in the bathroom (random, I know), when suddenly I realized that the 4 clans actually represent the 4 elements earth, wind, water, and fire. Now I'm not sure whether this was intentional on the gamemakers' part, or if it was purely coincidental. The Wolf, obviously, is nature-bound, so they represent Earth. Notice when the Channeller and the Master Warlock sometimes say "For the wind"? That's because Lotus is supposed to represent the Wind element. In real life, there's what we call "sea serpent" - as the name implies, they're snakes that can live in the water. Also, (I'm not quite sure about this one) serpent Ronins can force-attack on water. So the Serpent Clan actually represents the element Water. And lastly, the Dragon - a mythical fire-breathing creature. So the Dragon represents the element Fire. This may as well explain why there are only 4 clans in the game - to represent the 4 elements, which basically equates to balance.

This is new tongue.gifBTW the warlock says for the leaf or somth but ont the wind. but the leaf has somethin to do with wind too right? so it can be true that the lotus represents the element wind.. becuz the symbol of lotus is also a leaf if you noticed it.. cptheslayer 2 #5 Posted April 30, 2009 lotus represents water because lotus is in water, serpent represents earth because nekro can raise zombies from earth, wolf represents wind (earth or more) because gailah is mother of nature, dragon represents fire because dragonfire. This can go on forever; so whatever you come up with makes sense. In fact, serpent represent Ben (used to), lotus represents Sora, wolf represents wolfbite, dragon represents Fadel. lol lol!!! hyperknuckles77 2 #8 Posted May 1, 2009 BTW the warlock says for the leaf or somth but ont the wind. That's because in the Battle Realms story, the Lotus Brothers tended the Tree of Corruption - Lythis on the roots, Tausil on the trunk, and Sehk on the leaves. That's why we have blade acolytes (the roots), staff adepts (the trunk), and leaf disciples (the leaves). So the "for the leaf" dialogue is actually a reference to the Tree of Corruption. wolf represents wind (earth or more) because gailah is mother of nature Ok, I didn't get the wind part. Shouldn't they represent Earth if she's "mother of nature" then? xD And also, for the record, (just in case you guys didn't know xD) the Yin symbolizes coldness while the Yang symbolizes warmth (actually they represent many other stuff, e.g., Yin is female, Yang is male; Yin is night, Yang is day; and so on). So... Water & Wind = coldness = Yin Fire & Earth = warmth = Yang Or maybe I'm just reading into it too much.

hyperknuckles77 2 #11 Posted May 13, 2009 Yeah, I stand corrected. They actually say "With the wind", not "For the wind".
