Uhhh, I'm sure most of us already had all of the items from legit play probably before the milestones were even implemented. I know I had multiples of every item before then, and then when the achievement system was reverted I was immediately awarded all of the milestones because the achievements were all piss easy to obtain in normal gameplay. I'm idling for hats, not unlockable crap. I don't think the hats are dumb, I like them. The random (and extremely low) chance to obtain the hats is dumb. Hey look, a whole bunch of useless shit. If it was always brown, black, white or something I might consider using it, but the fact it changes between red and blue is a turn off. So no, I don't like it. Whenever I see someone with a hat, my first impression is TOO MUCH TF2. Call me old fashioned or whatever you want but I like not cheating and earning the stuff. So long as you don't idle and were actually playing the game, I think that counts as earning stuff. Then again I always play spy, so any spy finds felt well deserved.
