Maps
This area includes user made Map files for Battle Realms. Maps uploaded here should work on all versions of the game. That is Steam, GoG and Original CD version Battle Pack 2 or higher for (.map) (.bre files require Winter of The Wolf expansion to be installed).
To install:
Put downloaded maps (.map or .bre file format) in your Battle Realms\Levels folder. Extract them beforehand if needed (.zip, .rar, .7z), A a good free utility to use for archive extraction is 7zip.
When uploading a new map be sure to include a screenshot of how your map looks like.

Land Of Battle Realms

This is my biggest map.Its a 8 player map best for 2vs2vs2vs2 but it can be played in the other known ways.
The bases of the clans are like so: in the upper side of the map is the wolf clan base, in the lower side of the map is the serpent clan base, in the lower left side of the map is the dragon clan base, in the right side of the map (the dark side of the map ) is the lotus clan base. It will be great if every clan spawn in the proper base but that is big luck though. But the map is perfect i think for team matches.Btw in the lower right side of the map is the dragon spire there you can establish a small base if something happens and you lose your main base (but you need to be serpent or lotus) there are 2 more spots for establishing a small base.The world is big (i think) and there are enough horses in the map and a lot of cool choke points. there are no bugs at least i didnt find no.If someone find bugs let me know to remove them.Only the land looks a bit like the one of the kenji journey but its a lot different. There are a lot and good strategies that can be used for defence at every base. Well thats all, i may still edit something in the map, so if you like it expect updates in some time.

Ancestral Lands

Extra lore:
All the people of the kingdom and the outsiders were used to drive themselves to these lands, it's economic center, for trade in the sanctuary/citadel over the central hill; one time at year at least. Digged on the nearby mountains, lots of recoveries were born for the settlers who dedicated lives to commerce and decided to stay near the city. At last, with the fall of the kingdom's military power, the brutal enemies ravaged it and leave it abandoned, as the capital too, soon after the collapse of the economy and turmoiled by the fleeing citizens. Now just few merchants tried to enstablish again here, just due to the optimal position for trading, daring the risk, but they follow the same destiny of its'original inhabitants, by the hand of invasors engaged in a never ending battle for the pieces of the the lands, that once were united and prosper.

serpent holm Siege of Serpent Holm
3 vs 3
1 team has to besiege the old stronghold of the serpent clan. If the poison of the interwined vipers will be enough to paralyze their invaders?
Layout based on the original Serpent Holm from Kenji's Journey. It works pretty well as a teamgame 3 vs 3. Don't forget to X nearby friends. It works in free-for-all as well, but it's a bit unbalanced.

Deep in the heart of the thuringian forest the old abbey elevates above the mountain. It got destroyed during the raids and skirmishes between the 4 villages at the surroundings. Who of them have to take responsibility for this infamous action? The winner will write the history.
Play hide and seek with your enemy. Raid neighboring settlements, set traps, hide behind bushes and use the environment to outflank your counterpart. And allways have a look at the woods for enemy ambushes or wolf packs.

Spiritual retreat for those who want to atone their sins or only for the ones that have a strong faith, enough to resist at the effort of the thoug travel. The first spent at the base of the spire the entire life, in a endless winter, seeking purity and taking care of the sanctuary on the top fog gaining spiritual ascension. These before the Empire fall, after that, despite the place remain remote, no one has reached there anymore. The spiritual capital of the Kingdom became just another battleground, for the more ambicious trophy, due to its's useless and anti-strategic position; undressed of his spirituality, but with it's flame burning yet as a warning to the mortals, that some cant gone...ever. Do you will kneel to it or attempt to estinguish it, after have conquered it, of course...

Its a Stand Alone Map. This map is meant to be played with Kill The Keep mod!!!!
The bes settings are
Starting Army - Large
Starting Resourses - High
Horses - Low
Population - Low
Rice Growth Rate - Fast
Yin/Yang - Normal
It is important to be with such settings for best gameplay. There is building placement for only some huts, keep, healer building and if theres place 1 warrior building. Its all about gaining Yin/Yang summon Heroes and destroyng keeps for more building placement. There are 4 arenas of the 4 elements FIRE WATER EARTH and WIND. And theres a central arena where the last battles are ment to determain the best player. There are monsters on the beaches that wait for slaughter, theyr for getting your first Yin/Yang points. The Low population is to make the game more like a Lord challenge mod. Thats what the map is meant for. Enjoy.
And BTW building on the beaches wont be very smart.

Onslaught-Serpent Path

You know the drill, defend ur ally`s base(base1) that is most near the enemy and everything will be ok. If you lose base1 the game strats to be dificult. The map is 4vs4 rice-ok water-ok building placement-ok ambushes-ok (the base1 terrain allows very good defence). I realy want to know whats you guys think about the design of the map(hills, water, mountains) cuz its different from my other maps, and i think its more realistick this way. If you want a GG download my AI Profiles from this suite. Download and play before rating! BTW there are few wolf points in the forested areas.
PS: I forgot to say why i named it Serpent Path, its from the way the paths are, look at the screen and it like a line of a serpent.

Bridge of Woe (4)

Bridge Of Woe is a 5 player Hellscape. The eastern players have more of a luxury in deciding to cross the bridges, whereas the closeness of the 3 in the west forces a more immediate series of confrontations. The 3 bridges provide ample strategic routes for attacks. Players in the west are in a more tense situation, but they have the horses. Nobody has an abundance of rice, and the northwestern player with the only profound height advantage is cramped and suffers from the water-is-far-away problem. The northmost bridge is quite architecturally neutral, with a few choke points. The broad central bridge has a raised control position in its middle, valuable fighting terrain to hold or retreat to during an advance. The southern pathway is closest to the sulphurous ash - its surface has crumbled and warped to the point where it is mostly only a chaotic single-file line of death, hanging dramatically from its entranceways. Its dangerous nature means most players need not worry about attacks mounted through there.

Lots of great ideas from very old maps, and some new ones ive never seen so far, too. Crazy how many things you can build with 4 different stones, lol. I would love to see you playing with the coloring tool some more for shadowing lowgrounds, cliffs, paint lighting from fires. -
