I don't find that true, when I started playing BR I always massed Ronin as serpent clan was my favourite at that time (it still is) anyway I still owned the AI easily. At the time I always played against Dragon clan with random AI. So it is still possible to own with Ronin especially when they are mounted because the samurai unmount them before they die but my Ronin would be on Green to Yellow health and the samurai won't kill them on death.

I havent played the game in about a year, sorry I dont know all facts. Just remembered Ronin being good as one, and Sam's are good in a group leaving all that damage when they die.

u guys keep saying sams r better and i just gave u all an explanation can someone tell me y..... ill start? sams is slightly faster than a ronins if they run.. but u can hardly tell.... and sams have range... but who uses that honestly?.... sams dragon skin is very useful but it drains stamina so fast u can hardly tell if u used it... and since people hit and run their stamina just goes by twice as fast i guess... when they die (someone mentioned what its called) its great for getting yang... if a peasant is at full health it leaves him at yellow... um.. yang blade i dont say much about it since it doesnt change its attack from cutting to magic so i think its pretty useless.. and i can never get a lot of yang and c if its attack is increased cause one can get spirit by then... what else... oh the only thing i like more about the sams than the ronins r the upgrades..... if ronins also had more health and more damage then they would b just amazing.. i mean blunt resistance is already good u can use a ronin as a tank when like a cannoner is at tower.. um... thats all i got if someone wants to add and prove me y sams r better than ronins go ahead.. mayb u guys r right ... but i still think ronins r better

I'm going to settle this once and for all and do a test. A Samurai vs a Ronin with and without upgrades. I think the Samurai will win if he has the upgrades since the Ronin has none that will take effect vs the Samurai's cutting damage, where as the Samurai has the advantage of a health and a damage upgrade. I won't bother with bgs as we all know the Ronin will win if he has a Yin Blade.

Diablo it's called seppuku. Here's a quote about it from Wikipedia:

Ok here's the results of a test I did with [KH]Sora. They are as accurate as possible.

Samurai vs Ronin:

Test 1: No upgrades, no bgs, no micro/movement.

Test 2: Ronin is equipped with the Yin Blade battle gear. No upgrades, no micro/movement.

i knew what the results where i said before i tried 1vs1 ronins vs other units.. i know what units can a ronin take without yin blade.... but yea i usually have yin blade whenever i make ronins.... and idk if this proved anything.. i mean who is not gona make yin blade with ronins? but whatever this didnt change my mind about yin blade

i see ppl vote not from experience but from what they like. A little procent of ya vote from experience, i dont have much experience specialy at this but the fact is that Ronin will win with either blood bond or yin blade and the sam cant win vs Ronin with his BG`s. I dont know who will win if they fight without BG`s but i think the Ronin will win, and dont say Sam has better armor then ronin only couze the ronin`s model isnt armored. Why I THINK ronin will win? Well cuz he has 2 blades and hits more times then samurai(now im talking without learned TQ) they both are equal on resistance. And there is a small chance the Ronin to escape the seppuku.

Samurai,why? because samurai can do both melee and range but the ronin only do melee,and when using samurai's yang blade it double its damage,but when using ronin yin blade,it only create yins not doing more dmg....

I have Try it cause I just play that with my Friend in Online and I Duel them Samurai vs Ronin with no Battle Gear and You know I surprise it cause they Draw if U do not give them a Battle Gear and both of them is same Stronger and I tried that 10 Times until I boring cause the Result is same,why same cause always DRAW LoL!!!!!

oh Yeah But U must tell with Ur friend when U attack cause U must same at once time with Ur Friend for Duel Battle and U will have the DRAW result!!!

omg... without bg SAMURAI always WINS, even if Ronin attack first, even if Samurai does not make range attack. It was checked many many times. With BG RONIN WINS and SURVIVE SEPUKKU.

Dudes.. isnt it better someone to make a short clip with the duel ronin vs sam and to end this discusion. One clip without bg and one with bg. But they must start the BG`s at one time! And the terrain must be flat without any advantages and disadvantages(flat terrain with grass) the forest slow`s them down. Two dudes must make the clip not one with AI.

I would prefer samurai,

why?

cause samurais has sepukku,

and has bow/sword.

and I think,

Ronins are used for slowing only the enemy,

I use Bandits instead of ronins.

Even with Battle Gears,

Still the Same.

Ronin's innate [slow enemies/strengthen allies] lasts a nice while with a good radius so his death is rarely in vain, don't forget with your enemies movement hindered you're provided a head start to create space between your ranged units and melee units who attempt to engage them or are already engaged with. Yep, +1 over Samurai

Ronin's Yin Blade makes him more versatile. Another +1 over Samurai.

Ronin's Blood Bond makes him a better tank then Samurai, and razing(3:1 ranged to melee) is a general rule of thumb in this game and Ronin has more to offer there because of his ability to tank. This BG does not drain stamina and is constantly active so less micromanagement is required of the player. +1.

Add it all together it's obvious who the more valuable 3rd tier unit is. <3

it's looks like the Ronins is tronger but spuku could be deadly
