fever 9,884 #1 Posted November 6, 2014 I just wondered who uses mouse buttons (other than the two normal ones). I always find when I try to it gives me a awkward grip on the mouse. I just wondered if I ought to persevere and retrain my brain to get used to it.

- Mike - 2,728 #4 Posted November 6, 2014 For Mumble I use shift and m4 as push-to-talk buttons. In TF2 m4 is the "nice shot" voice line and m5 is the "Thanks!" voice line. In CSGO, Mouse 4 is attack2 (scope, take off silencer, drop a grenade) and mouse 2 is the walk button.
LjubicaZubica 5,610 #5 Posted November 6, 2014 I started using mouse 4 for melee attack and now I´m asking myself why I didn´t do that earlier x)
Infin 763 #6 Posted November 6, 2014 I have all these mouse buttons but I haven't bothered to set them all up or even work out how to properly. Something that I need to do, since I have about 5 buttons going spare when I'm gaming.

+Dr. Obvious 14,606 #11 Posted November 6, 2014 Razor Deathadder. Used the 2 extras on the side for switching to main or melee wep instantly in TF2. Without those, it feels... weird.
Ultimate 702 #12 Posted November 6, 2014 I only use mouse side buttons for muting Skype while ingame. Otherwise I use them for non-gaming stuff. Logitech G602

Gloves 945 #17 Posted November 7, 2014 I used to have a razer naga (horrible mouse for fps games btw, don't buy this mouse unless you play world of wizards or something) but like most razer mouses the left click started to mess up. It started with double clicking, which later evolved into the button not registering at all unless you put enough weight on it to crush a small turtle (sorry turtle), what is weird though is that that mouse was probably the best part of my battle station at the time. Anyways I played with that piece of garbage for about 7 months before I decided to buy a new mouse (G500s <3) and during that time I used all the extra buttons for switching classes in one click as well as voice chat.. that's about it though (unless you count closing and opening tabs in firefox). Now that I got the G500s I don't really use the extra buttons for anything because of awkward positioning on the mouse, and I can't really find anything useful to bind them to. I do use mousewheel down for melee tho, and uhm.. mouse 4 or w/e for mumble possibly? Can't recall. Sorry about the wall of text and wasting your time reading all this cause I know none of it is even the least bit interesting. TL;DR: Not really no.. :}http://www.amazon.com/Redragon-Mammoth-Precision-Programmable-Cartridge-Switches/dp/B00GU4F4OM?tag=viglink23978-20 Screw dpi, doesn't change anything. :3 I love my 800 dpi. <3
The Hungry Caterpillar 585 #18 Posted November 7, 2014 I literally never use my buttons, I've just got my mumble set to gating because everyone wants to hear me typing. I used to use my sensitivity buttons in CSGO when I got really good, if I needed to spin 180 I'd turn up my sensitivity to get there and then back again to shoot people, srs strats tho
+Skaila 5,462 #19 Posted November 7, 2014 That's almost keyboard/mouse all in one. LOL It is but I do use them a lot. Dota for example i use 1 to 6 for my hero abilities. The others for courier etc For other games such as Dragon Age and others who use those buttons. Same thing. Love it xD I have the same. I use a whole 2 of them. Well for tf2 i only use a couple xD
+JB. 4,800 #20 Posted November 7, 2014 350dpi anyone? I use mouse4 for mumble push to talk.
Possum 10,776 #21 Posted November 7, 2014 This is the primary reason I use the Deathadder, because the two thumb buttons are just so much bigger than most other mice, and it makes them usable without having to really change my grip. Usually my mouse 4 (the one closest to the base of my palm) is bound to a melee function, and mouse 5 (closest to my fingertips) is bound to grenade.
D-Bee 3,448 #22 Posted December 4, 2014 I have this. I find that I mainly use the button that kills you. The other buttons I need less often.
Domino 3,168 #23 Posted December 4, 2014 I found my thumb naturally rests on mouse 3/4 when i hold the mouse. I also tense up and scream when something makes me jump, which presses both buttons. M4 is my talk button on mumble, so hence why you lot get deafened a lot, i dont mean to do it XD --- Thinking about it, my thumb is long enough to be just sat on the mouse button, so my thumb is straight, if i had an inch longer thumb, it would be very painful and awkward to press the button. Yay for being a 5'1 female for the first time ever XD
