What is the best RTS game, in your opinion, ever made?

Starcraft, Warcraft 3, Rise of Empires, Battle Realms, etc.

Mine is Battle Realms, I like it because it goes so far into depth into the game and every unit was designed specifically for its own purpose. It was designed so perfectly and its game play is so unique that it makes it better than every other game.

Battle Realms is the best. None can beat its originality, characters and especially its journeys/ campaigns.

Warcraft is 2nd best. Units are not superb. Strategies are stuck to units you are using and the resources available.

The best RTS game is battle realms no doubt but u get sometimes angry cause of stupid online players who spam sometimes or talk bullshit or laggers etc

In my opinion Battle Realms is the best RTS ever , but i dont think Warcrafts were based on br idea , because Warcraft is much older than BR , only if you mean Warcraft 3 , but you said "warcrafts".

Battle Realms, Imperium III - Great Battles Od Rome (2D graphics but with VERY High detail! And a unique gameplay! BG production)this 2 are best RTS for me. Warcraft 3.. very low level strategy.

World of Warcraft and Diablo III aren't rts games

Imo best one is Warcraft 3, due to perfection and just insane story, which is (at least for me) most important thing in game. 2nd one is Battle Realms and 3rd is very old game Knights & Merchants, which needs a lot of macrocontrolling.

Doubt that any RTS warcraft was based on battle realms:

- series is much older than BR (even when BR was announced, war3 was already in middle of develpoment)

- I don't see a lot of things, which are common to both games

Another really good RTS series was the Myth series, Myth II being the better out of the three in my opinion but in all they were all really good. They also had the best storyline out of any RTS game, if they made a movie about Myth it might actually be good. When you're playing the game it feels almost as if your reading a book while at the same time controlling your units.
