Is Zimmerman a hero? Nope, he's an idiot for maneuvering himself into that situation.

But the real important thing about it is: does it matter at all? Nope. It does not. It's just what happens when stupidity and poor judgement of the situation come together at the wrong time. It doesn't matter, Zimmerman lost sight of the guy and went to look at the street signs to make note, he is the captain of the neighborhood watch. And when he went back to his car Zimmerman states that TM confronted him.

And on the other point, it is self-defense. TM by accounts of GZ and other eye-witnesses: TM was pounding in GZ head in to the pavement and he already had a broken nose, blood would be moving to the back of his throat and would be getting into his eyes. He cannot see. GZ then states that TM saw his gun that was holstered on his back/hip and then threatened to kill him.

Yes, as said, by law, it is self-defense, and in that very moment, it was.

But.

It doesn't matter if he's the captain of a neighbourhood watch, a self-proclaimed Punisher, or whatever.

If you are following me, at night, i'll challenge you on why you are after me, too. If you're not a cop, you have no reason to do so.

If you are going to patrol in a place at night, you're going to make sure that you have someone with you to back you up, especially when you expect people with low respect for life and wellbeing of others around.

He's stupid as he must have known the outcome but I think people should know about how the military are operating with their tax dollars so the fact that this video has come out is good, horrific as it is.
